Sales Manager – Container Shipping Industry

Job Summary:

We are a Dutch logistics with offices in Netherlands, Poland, Ukraine and USA company and we are seeking a talented Sales Manager with experience in container maritime hauling. The successful candidates will be responsible for working with leads, developing business relations, managing existing client relationships, and promoting our services. We are looking for applicants with a strong desire to work and develop, excellent communication skills, and a minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales within the container shipping industry. With at least a bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Regularly engage with clients through calls and emails, addressing their needs, concerns, and providing updates on services.
  • Leverage the existing warm client base in EU countries to identify opportunities for new business relationships.
  • Reach out to potential clients, present the company’s services, and discuss opportunities for collaboration.
  • Manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines.
  • Work effectively in a team environment and provide guidance and mentorship to junior sales team members.
  • Build and maintain a professional network within the industry.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3-5 years of experience in sales, preferably within the container shipping, freight forwarding, or logistics industry.
  • A bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary for presenting proposals, conducting meetings, and maintaining strong relationships with clients, partners, and internal stakeholders.
  • A strong understanding of the container shipping industry, including market trends, key players, and regulatory requirements, is essential.
  • Proven ability to work with leads, develop new business opportunities, and manage existing client relationships is crucial.
  • Familiarity with shipping routes, freight rates, and different types of containers is also important.
  • The ability to manage multiple projects and clients simultaneously, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines is crucial in this role.
